Does anyone here know some ways on how to get rid of anxiety that actually work?
I haven't left the house for about 2 months because of it and when i think about leaving the house i start panicking/worrying and i feel ill.
It's been like this for a while but the last few months it's been starting to affect me every day and i'm getting sick of it.
My family's starting to worry about me as well because i never leave the house anymore.
Let them keep worrying, go see a doctor, get some help. Stuff like this that controls you so much is really hard to change on your own, and also the sooner you can get help the better. The longer it goes on it will be harder to change.
From joy to sorrow, yesterday to tomorrow, you've been there. Friends like you are rare, your touch is so gentle,
You're my guardian angel.
Like a blossoming flower spreading your wings in grace, filling my heart with power
by feeling your embrace.
Wherever the wind may blow, we will overcome this war, in times happy or sore, I will never let you go.
With a gentle warm heart and a will of stone, We'll never be apart, You'll never be alone. - John <3

I would recommend anti-depressants because that is what happened for me, but it was also because I was depressed. Anxiety and depression both play a role.
To relieve anxiety I've found was not to think too much. It's something you have to get rid of. Think more of happy thoughts, than negative thoughts. Hanging out with friends and laughing is the best way to relieve anxiety.
Here are some tips I found that have helped me:
1. Find a place where you're comfortable at, preferably your house, or somewhere sacred of course.
2. If you like music, listen to music. Something calm, and nothing agressive or angry.
3. Read other people's experiences through the internet, your parents, or even your friends. So you wouldn't feel alone about your experience you may feel guilty about.
Don't do what I do. Don't turn to drugs and alcohol to cope because it's not the answer.
Look up cognitive thought distortion online and start to look through that. You'll find many of your thought match up to the ones there.
Hey i would like to add u have shared a nice post on the topic. There are various types for curing anxity. Proper medical Treatment is best way to cure this problem. Another is yoga , meditation, exercise, positive thinking. Physiocial theropy is important factor in treatment of anxiety. People with anxiety disorder who have already received treatment must give the details to current doctor. Antidepressient is also effective for anxiety disorder.
hope this would help....
I have major anxiety problems myself. if its really interfering with a healthy lifestyle I would probably see a doctor about anti anxiety or depressant pills, just remember there's a light and dark to everything and you control your thoughts.
Same here sometimes. It sucks ass i know.
But dont take pills for it, i heard it makes it even worse...and in this case i dont think you(or anyone) should risk it. Just remember that "after a dark night, theres a bright day after that" so dont worry, its gonna go away. The more you worry the worse it gets. And yes, i know its easy to say but actually harder to "not worry" but if you still cant stop worrying about stuff go see a psychologist or something. You just sit there, say what you have to say and they help you out. Nothing too bad and it actually helps
Therapy can be very helpful in learning techniques to cope and getting to the root of your anxiety. Any kind of relaxation methods or meditation/yoga can be very helpful. Make sure your eating right and not smoking/drinking/doing drugs/drinking coffee which can all feed into anxiety. If you’d like to work on your anxiety at home you can YouTube or purchase CDs on a lot of those relaxation techniques. Attempt to read and learn everything there is to know about anxiety, so you can understand it better and possibly feel less anxious because you learn that it’s you who's feeding into it. General anxiety can be siphoned off with exercise as exercise helps the body relax and will bring your mind at ease. Look into breathing exercise as well not just physical-body exercising techniques.
