I currently am on a "break" from a one year relationship. I put parenthesis on break because it's been five days and he's already with another girl. He says I'm still his best friend and texts me everyday, but that he's just waiting for the moment he can see me more because on average we only see each other once every two weeks.


My friends believe he just wants a "fuck buddy" to "satisfy his needs".


On to the point (sorry, I was rambling), I want a new look because I feel that it will help me wait for the fifty-two days we're on "break" till he comes back. (If he ever does).


Maybe not a TOTAL make over, but at least some tips?

I attached current pictures of myself and hope it works, they go in order of time from left to right.
Far left- Few days ago, mid left- Month ago, Mid right- little over a month, and Far right - 2 months ago (I don't change much)

Description:
- I'm 16 years old
- 5' 1" and 94 lbs (yes I'm small and petite)
- I have naturally black hair that goes about an inche below my shoulders. It's layered and parted down the middle with to the right (my right) side bangs
- I have big brown eyes
- I prefer to paint my nails red or black or have them glow in the dark which is a clear sparkle
- I have a round face
- A sort of light tan skin
- I have a very equal body (I don't have a long torso or anything, I'm just natural)
- And I have small breasts (34b)

What I usually wear:
- Black mascara because I already have long lashes
- Hoop earrings (usually silver)
- Silver ring
- Mostly wear skinny jeans or shorts and a tank top (jacket is optional) or long sleeve
- I don't like baggy clothes
- I WILL wear dresses and skirts
- Colors I wear mostly (in order) Red&black, purple, white and rarely green

Personality: (if it helps)
- Optimistic
- None competitive
- Cautious
- Curious
- Smart (if I may say so)
- Modest
- Smiley and laughy
- Emotional (very)

I hope this all works out for you but just remember that if it doesn't then there is someone better out there for you and IMO i think you deserve better, not someone that wants to go out and see what else is out there while you wait around on 'hold'.

I don't know so much if you should change who you are, but mixing it up every once in a while never hurt anyone. I myself died my hair fire truck red and cut it all off one day because i needed a change lol. Maybe go out and get a hair cut, even if you don't take off a lot maybe get it fully layered, i always find that a hair cut makes me feel like a different person. You could also try doing your make-up differently, go to a cosmetic store and maybe get some ideas from the employees, unless of course you already have a few ideas your self. Maybe go shopping and pick out some clothes that you normally wouldn't try on and see what you think. I know i love trying on clothes i don't usually wear and i often find that i love what i choose.

Most importent though, have fun and don't sit around waiting and hoping that he will come back, because you are worth more then a second choice to a guy that doesn't care enough to stay with you. There is someone out there for everyone and i think that you deserve that someone who treats you like you should be treated.

if he's already with someone else after 5 days.. the break needs to be permanent.. you deserve better and can get better.

you're pretty and if you want to do a makeover to make yourself feel better, then go ahead. but don't do it for anyone else but yourself. and ditch the boyfriend!

Don't change your looks change who you're with.. Though, change your mascara... it looks weird and fake.

i don't think you have to change for someone else. you're who you are and don't force yourself to be someone else.

Luna, dont change yourself because of one guy, you look great just the way you are Yes I know I am a guy so this may be weird lol but be yourself, who you want to be and the right guy will fall in love because of who you are not your clothes

You don't need to change for anyone other than yourself, and if he's already with another girl after 5 days, you certainly don't need to change for him.
If you fancy a change of style, then go for it.
