Uh-huh. Well personally I believe we have connections to certain animals, maybe even more than one, but I don't believe we are the animals. Just that we share a connection with them.
If we were the actual animal then we would have been born as such, that's what I believe. I mean, take for instance people who say they're the wrong gender, somewhat believable if science has anything to say about hormones and such (but I won't go into that).
But a different species altogether? Probably not.
Although there are some interesting takes on this. I gotta go right now, but if I can find some things on what I'm thinking of, I'll post some links about them. Although I warn you, some of them seem nutty.

IMO wolves (and other animals) and us are all living things.. so we're going to have traits in common.. just because you feel like you are more like this animal doesn't mean you are one.. it just means you feel like one.. again IMO so don't kill me.
