Re: Filling foods?
3,500 calories is equal to a pound.
Women's bodies burn off approximately 1,500 calories per day to begin with, add a little exercise and you'll be doing wonders.
All you have to do is find foods with lots of fiber but little sugar, sodium and carbs.
My advice?
Stick to Lean meats like poultry(with no skin and cut off all excess fats) and fish as well as steamed veggies(but no root veggies like potatoes) for 3 weeks.
For snacks, eat 2 servings of probiotics(like yogurt with no added sugar) and 2 servings of low-sugar fruits each day and eat the fruit earlier in the day.
For example, my typical menu for the day is;
Breakfast-
2 scrambled eggs(or 4 scrambled egg whites) with a little bit of diced onion and celery, and half a grapefruit, unsweetened with sugar and a cup of tea or coffee.
Snack-
1 serving of yogurt with no added sugar or sweetened with sugar free jam.
Lunch-
A large salad with cucumber, spinach, iceberg lettuce, celery, chopped grilled chicken or salmon and homemade dressing with 1tbsp of olive oil and 1/2 tbsp of your choice of vinegar.
Snack-
An apple or pear or other low-sugar fruit. Lately it's been two small- medium clementines because they're in season and they're my favorite.
Dinner-
Grilled salmon or chicken or other poultry(no skin) and a large side of steamed veggies. Pretty much as many as you want.
You can season them with herbs, there's no limit on herbs, but seasonings and condiments are within moderation and they don't include salad dressings.
My mother in law followed this diet and within the first 3 weeks alone she lost almost 25lbs.
I've been following it for almost a week now and although I dont have a scale to weigh myself, I can already notice a difference in my energy levels and my jeans are starting to fit again.
Also, don't let yourself get really hungry; that's when you over eat and make bad food choices.
Drink 8, 8oz glasses of water every day, stay away from caloric drinks. They are empty calories so there's no point ingesting them. Exercise for 30-60 minutes every day and I suggest breaking it up into two sessions, morning and afternoon.Even just going for long walks will help.
Get enough sleep.
All of these things will help you.
