I'm very prone to getting a sore throat.
I did vocal training for around 9 years. I stopped 4 years ago because I had no time. I can still hit my notes but sometimes, all I'm stuck with is a sore throat for someone and I can't talk. Also, I'm immune but I get throat infections a lot :/
Anyone know how I can prevent this?
I want to be able to sing without sounding like a drunk frog and talk without sounding like a pre-pubescent boy :p
Doctor is probably going to be the only one to really help you out.
From joy to sorrow, yesterday to tomorrow, you've been there. Friends like you are rare, your touch is so gentle,
You're my guardian angel.
Like a blossoming flower spreading your wings in grace, filling my heart with power
by feeling your embrace.
Wherever the wind may blow, we will overcome this war, in times happy or sore, I will never let you go.

lots of fluids. Water is the best. The throat gets inflammed because it's dry and it gets irritated. Drink water and keep it moist. You'll notice that singers drink ALOT of water.
if it's a chronic problem, you might should talk to your doctor about getting your tonsils taken out. i kept getting strep throat and couldn't get over mono so they took my tonsils out and i haven't been sick since. your tonsils harbor a lot of infection and some people's immune systems just can't handle it. not gonna lie, the surgery was a bitch and a painful recovery, but it's been worth it.
Just kidding..... but yeah, go see a doctor, we're not qualified.
