Just think about how you might be affecting the people that you care about and care about you. I don't know. Obviously all the other things suggested work but I'm not going to bother repeating for the sake of repeating.
But my grandfather from my mothers side started smoking at the age of 8 and he was a heavy smoker until he was about 55-ish, he stopped completely because my older brother + sister and cousin were born so he knew he'd obviously be putting them in lots of danger if he continued with the habit. That was it really, it took him less than a month to stop and he hasn't smoked since.
