Default Blood Blister

Hey, I recently had an operation and the scar has been healing well. I now have a blood blister at the start of my scar which is sore I was just wondering if anyone had had this before. I don't think its worth going to see a Doctor about.

It all depends a few things:

1. How the blood blister was caused.
2. Whether or not it is likely to get/is infected.
3. How much pain you are in.

If you could answer those, I may be able to help a bit!

It's pretty normal.
I still get them now and then on a scar that i've had for 11-12 years so for a new one? definitely not something to worry about unless it looks infected or is excruciatingly painful.

I have no idea how it was caused, I noticed it a couple of days ago.

I have no idea whether its likely to get infected?

I'm not in any incredible pain but it is slightly sore.

Then the best thing to do would be to keep an eye on it. As GoldenxBeauty said, it's nothing to worry about unless it gets infected or is really, REALLY painful. Although, if you do have any doubts, then go and see a doctor. Better safe than sorry, they always say.

Yes. The posters above are correct. Keep an eye on it. Don't let it get out of hand or anything. If it starts hurting a lot, then go back to the doctor's office.
