Default Pop/Soda

So, whether you call it "pop", "soda", or "coca-cola".... is really irrelevant come to think of it.

Anyways, so I'm on this "quest" to become a healthier person. In the process I've come to acknowledge that many of the things we consume are extremely un-healthy and bad for us. Pop is one such item. And pop happens to be that one item that is "crutch".

I'm a pop-aholic. If there were such a thing.

I love the texture, the taste, the carbonation, the caffeine fix... I love pretty much anything about a dark pop. But, I've given it up.

Sure, its only been 5 days since I started my "no-more pop" campaign... and the first few days were extremely rough... But I re-discovered my love for tea and coffee - which address my need for caffeine.

But I have to say... as the days go on and as my body cleanses itself with all of the water I've been consuming... I feel better?

I went from drinking obscene amounts of pop in a day to drinking none... and instead replacing it with water and tea.... and I feel incredibly better. Each day I find myself feeling even better...

I dunno, its weird. What do you guys think about soda? Could you give it up? D:

For a second I read that as pop/sopa and was about to get really annoyed that you thought it was pop not pipa hahaha sorry

Anyyy way it's great you aren't drinking it any more that stuff is very bad for you, but if you feel the need to drink it I would suggest bubbley water or soda water watever you call it and if you want flavor you could by some (natrual low sugar would be best) syrups or extracts for a soda like drink but much healthier

I got some lingonberry (errm think that's how you spell it) concentrate and added about a 3 spoonfuls to bubbly water

Good luck

I hate it so I never drink it.
I'm sometimes forced to try it every now and then by my friends, but I just hate the fizziness in my mouth and the taste D:

I go in circles about it. I have been addicted no question. I have given it up cold turkey. i am OCD tho so I can become addicted to things and then move on to a next addiction. I have tried adding flavors to seltza water to keep enjoying the "fizz". I have tried smoothies. But really there is nothing like water. Drinking just water can cleanse you and make you feel VERY healthy.

The one thing is I always drink diet pop when i drink pop so I dont have to worry about hidden calories bc there is no calories in diet pop. What gets me is mhen studies say that diet pop makes you as fat as regular pop. It's impossible. Unless the body "thinks" the fake sugar is real sugar which would be fascinating. the body is quite unbelievable. The main reason i quit drinking pop is bc I hate to think what drinking 100 oz of pop each and every day does to the kidneys!!!!

I quit drinking soda last year and lasted a long time. But then I went to a friends house where it was way too readily available to me, haha. I don't really drink soda anymore though, haven't for a long time. If I want something carbonated drink sparkling cranberry juice. I will however break and have an energy drink sometimes on the weekends.

I stopped drinking pop and fizzy drinks at the beginning of January, just to become healthier really. And come to think of it, I already feel a lot better. Although, I'm now addicted to flavoured water.. xD
Haven't had a fizzy drink since new years day.

Good luck with it!

Fuck no. You touch my soda and you lose your penis.

*clutches bottle to chest* my precious...

It's a stress reliever for me. I'm not an addict, I'm a mental addict to it. And happy of it.

From joy to sorrow, yesterday to tomorrow, you've been there. Friends like you are rare, your touch is so gentle,
You're my guardian angel.
Like a blossoming flower spreading your wings in grace, filling my heart with power
by feeling your embrace.

Wherever the wind may blow, we will overcome this war, in times happy or sore, I will never let you go.
With a gentle warm heart and a will of stone, We'll never be apart, You'll never be alone. - John <3
