I crave Super Noodles and chocolate when I'm on my time of the month. I think it's just hormones.

Well guys get a type of "time of the month" as well, so it could just be that.

I think it was something to do with your body craving certain nutrients or chemicals contained in certain foods, because of homeostasis, or just to prevent certain deficiencies.

Well, I take Prednisone, and that increases my appetite. Very hard to resist, so I get what you are saying in a way...

I get random cravings once in a while and doesn't sound something to be worried about, always keep a balanced diet

I sometimes have a craving for flesh.
I need to eat meat for it to go away.
If i don't i get very weak, and then i start gnawing on my hand till i draw blood.

This is called being a teenager, welcome.
