Apparently 8% of the population has it, making it quite uncommon. One of the reasons why I'm a regular blood donator.
Wikipedia tells me 3.52% of the world's population is A-
5.06% is AB+, so it's still pretty rare, but my blood type can receive from both A and B so it's not really in demand for donors as everyone is a donor, but I could only donate to other AB's
