Default Trip to the pool

On Saturday I went to an indoor pool in the city next to mine that is 52 km from my city, and as always I leave everything for the last hour, and 10 minutesbefore we left and I made the bag to anger for the pool, I put everything I needed but when I got to the indoor pool I saw that I had forgotten my swimwear, and the only option I had was to wear my yellow underwear as a bathing suit, and on the top I did not use anything, because I still I do not have breasts (late blommer) at 14.
I was on the slides and a lady who was there plus her daughter at my age (with a bikini) commented that I should wear a bathing suit or with my underwear on a t-shirt and that it was indecent to walk like that in thepool and not I realized why she was so intolerant to me because I just forgot about the bathing suit and I think I was not offending anyone. What do you think of this lady? Is she right or not?

You're 14. And even if your breasts haven't developed yet, I suppose you're not just being easily confused with a boy. And so, as a girl, you're expected to wear a bathing top or such.

Anyway, some bathing stuff certain girls wear, are sometimes such tight that they could even swim naked. And yet no one cares ... or just very purish natures.

The opinion of this woman meets the general social and moral context of the society, i guess. Even so, basically her opinion doesn't count.

But what counts are the rules of the operator of this indoor pool. If these rules say that your chest has to be covered because you are of a certain age, you would have to wear at least a shirt or such.

If it doesn't bother any member of the staff or other folks around the pool, the better for you. And in case of any doubts, ask someone from the lifeguards. Or other members of the staff.

I think that it depends more on the people in charge than the other visitors to the pool, like Liam said.

I sincerely don't see anything wrong with what you did though, and don't feel people should be offended. A typical pair of underwear covers more than a lot of bikini bottoms do, and if you are truly still flat chested, then wearing nothing on top shouldn't be any issue at all. The only problem I can think of is if the underwear were the sort that goes pretty transparent when they are wet. Even so I don't think it should be any problem.

I have done the same exact thing a few times when I was 13 or under while on short trips and wanting to use the hotel pool, but not having a bathing suit with me. Also at friend's backyard swimming pools quite a few times. No one really pays any attention and nothing was ever said. I'm 15 now and have some breast development, so I would at least keep on a t shirt now, but at that age it wasn't a problem for me to go around strangers with nothing on top.
